Physician - Critical Care Nocturnist Intensivist
About The Position
Deaconess Pulmonary Critical Care Group is seeking a full-time Physician - Critical Care Nocturnist Intensivist. This role involves providing in-house coverage for ICU patients during night shifts. The group consists of 16 full-time physicians and 17 full-time Advanced Practitioners. The Nocturnist will work 14-hour shifts from 5 PM to 7 AM, with a minimum of 132 shifts per year. Additional shifts can be picked up upon request. The compensation structure includes an hourly base rate, wRVU incentive, quality bonus, paid administrative time, APP supervision, and a shift incentive starting from the 133rd shift. The position utilizes a fully implemented EMR (EPIC) integrated with Deaconess Health System. The first year includes a guaranteed salary of $520K and a $50K sign-on bonus. Requirements
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Critical Care.
- Physician licensed in the state of practice.
- Ability to work 14-hour shifts (5 PM to 7 AM).
- Commitment to working a minimum of 132 shifts per year.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in nocturnist or intensivist roles.
- Familiarity with EPIC EMR system.
Responsibilities
- Provide in-house critical care coverage during night shifts (5 PM to 7 AM).
- Manage patients in the ICU across multiple campuses (Midtown, Gateway, Henderson).
- Work a minimum of 132 shifts per year.
- Supervise Advanced Practitioners (APP) as needed.
- Respond to critical care needs across the assigned campuses.
