About The Position

WakeMed Physician Practices is seeking a board-certified/board-eligible Pulmonary and Critical Care physician to join a hybrid practice in Raleigh, NC. This role combines inpatient critical care coverage with outpatient pulmonary medicine. The team consists of 28 physicians and 21 APP's who provide inpatient critical care, inpatient pulmonology services, and eICU coverage. Typical procedures include bronchoscopy, central lines, intubation, and thoracentesis. The typical full-time schedule is approximately 16 in-house shifts per month, with eICU cross-coverage and assistance for night shifts. There is an opportunity for clinical teaching, as physicians supervise second-year ED residents rotating through the ICUs. The role is expected to have a 50/50 split between inpatient and outpatient responsibilities. The WakeMed Physician is responsible for providing quality clinical care, teaching and supervision to residents, medical students, and/or APP's, appropriate coding and corporate compliance, and general administrative responsibilities. Physicians report directly to the Director of their assigned division and support the mission, values, and management of WakeMed Physician Practices and WakeMed.

Requirements

• Board-certified/board-eligible Pulmonary and Critical Care physician
• Licensed Medical Physician
• Board Certification in Area of Practice
• Doctorate Medicine
• Fellowship/Internship/Residency - Related Area
