About The Position

Sanford Health has an opening for a Fellowship trained Colorectal Surgeon to join its Surgery Department in Fargo, North Dakota. Experienced candidates preferred but new graduates are welcome to apply. The practice consists of clinic, operating room, and endoscopy suite. There is also teaching of surgical residents and medical students through the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences.

Requirements

• M.D. or D.O. degree
• Successful completion of an accredited General Surgery Residency followed by a fellowship in Colon & Rectal Surgery
• Must hold an active medical license for each state in which the physician practices – either physically or virtually.
• Must have a DEA for each state in which the physician physically practices.
• Board Certified in Colon & Rectal Surgery by the American Board of Colon & Rectal Surgery or equivalent (American Osteopathic Board of Surgery, Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada).
• If physician is not board certified upon commencement of employment, they must achieve board certification as outlined in the privileging documents.

Responsibilities

• Perform invasive procedures in the colon and rectal areas.
• Perform general operations on the lower digestive tract.
• Teach surgical residents and medical students.
