About The Position

AtlantiCare, a recipient of the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award and the largest healthcare system in southeastern New Jersey, is seeking a full-time Board Certified/Board Eligible Colorectal Surgeon to join their surgical team within AtlantiCare Physician Group Surgical Associates. The role involves providing expert care to patients in southeastern New Jersey, requiring excellent operative and clinical skills, and a collaborative approach. AtlantiCare is a multifaceted health system with two hospital locations and multiple ambulatory surgery/endoscopy centers. This position offers the opportunity to join a comprehensive colorectal surgery practice, utilizing robotic surgery (SP platform), protected endoscopy time, and access to an ambulatory surgery center. The role also includes teaching opportunities with general surgery residents and medical students, dedicated colorectal APP support, and potential for further teaching/leadership roles within a financially sound, growing health system that is partnering to build a medical school.

Requirements

  • Board Certified/Board Eligible Colorectal Surgeon
  • Fellowship-trained colorectal surgeon
  • Excellent foundation of operative and clinical skills
  • Collaborative approach to patient care

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert care to patients in southeastern New Jersey.
  • Perform elective and emergent robotic surgery.
  • Conduct screening and diagnostic procedures.
  • Treat high volume anorectal conditions.
  • Engage in multidisciplinary IBD care and treating pelvic floor pathology.
  • Teach rotating general surgery residents and medical students.
