About The Position

Beatrice Women's and Children's Clinic is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or a Medical Assistant to coordinate clinic activities and provide patient care. The LPN will be responsible for meeting approved Standards of Practice, managing clinic supplies and equipment, and fostering collaboration with physicians and other healthcare providers. The Medical Assistant will room patients, document vital signs, and assist nursing personnel as directed. This role also involves answering clinic calls and performing clerical duties. This is an on-call/PRN position with a 36-hour work week, with shifts typically falling between Monday-Friday, 7:30 am to 5:00 pm.

Requirements

Licensed Practical Nurse Diploma.
Currently licensed as a practical nurse in the State of Nebraska.
Current CPR/BLS.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Completion of Medical Assisting program.
Currently licensed as a Medication Aide – 40 Hour in the State of Nebraska required.
Current CPR/BLS.

Nice To Haves

Certified Medical Assistant preferred.
Previous experience in physician clinic preferred.
Experience with Electronic Medical Record preferred.

Responsibilities

Coordinates clinic activities for assigned clinic and provides patient care.
Meets approved Standards of Practice.
Manages supplies and equipment in the clinic.
Promotes collaboration with physician and other health care providers.
Rooms patients, obtains and documents vital signs, and completes rooming process for patients of all ages.
Assists nursing personnel with care of patient as directed by director/leader and/or provider within the scope of a Medical Assistant.
Answers internal and external telephone calls for clinic.
Performs other clerical duties as directed.
