About The Position

This role is for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Medical Assistant within an Orthopedic Clinic. The LPN will coordinate clinic activities and provide patient care, managing supplies and equipment, and collaborating with physicians and other healthcare providers. The Medical Assistant will be responsible for rooming patients, documenting vital signs, assisting nursing personnel, and performing clerical duties. Both roles require specific licenses and certifications.

Requirements

Licensed Practical Nurse Diploma (LPN).
Currently licensed as a practical nurse in the State of Nebraska (LPN).
Current CPR/BLS (LPN & Medical Assistant).
High School Diploma or equivalent (Medical Assistant).
Completion of Medical Assisting program (Medical Assistant).
Currently licensed as a Medication Aide – 40 Hour in the State of Nebraska required (Medical Assistant).

Nice To Haves

Certified Medical Assistant preferred (Medical Assistant).
Previous experience in physician clinic preferred (Medical Assistant).
Experience with Electronic Medical Record preferred (Medical Assistant).

Responsibilities

Coordinates clinic activities for assigned clinic and provides patient care (LPN).
Meets approved Standards of Practice (LPN).
Manages supplies and equipment in the clinic (LPN).
Promotes collaboration with physician and other health care providers (LPN).
Rooms patients, obtains and documents vital signs, and completes rooming process for patients of all ages (Medical Assistant).
Assists nursing personnel with care of patient as directed by director/leader and/or provider within the scope of a Medical Assistant (Medical Assistant).
Answers internal and external telephone calls for clinic and performs other clerical duties as directed (Medical Assistant).
