About The Position

Rochester Regional Health (RRH) and St. Lawrence Health are seeking an ambitious, collaborative, and forward-thinking Non-Invasive Cardiologist to help shape the future of cardiovascular care across the St. Lawrence Region, including Canton-Potsdam Hospital, Massena Hospital, and Gouverneur Hospital. This is more than a traditional cardiology position — it is a unique opportunity to play a foundational role in the continued growth and advancement of a regional cardiovascular program serving an estimated referral population of more than 300,000 patients throughout the North Country. As part of Rochester Regional Health’s cardiovascular network, you will benefit from close collaboration with the Sands-Constellation Heart Institute and system-wide specialty teams. Opportunities for ongoing academic and clinical engagement include: Weekly Cardiology Grand Rounds, Heart Failure Conferences, Structural Heart Conferences, Electrophysiology Conferences, Cardiac Imaging Conferences, Cath Conferences, Morbidity & Mortality Conferences, Fellowship educational activities, and Hybrid and virtual multidisciplinary collaboration across the RRH system. This position allows physicians to maintain academic involvement while practicing in a community where their work has immediate and lasting impact. You will work closely with Hospital Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Critical Care, Internal Medicine and Surgical Specialties, Regional Primary Care Networks, Advanced Practice Providers, and Rochester Regional Health tertiary cardiovascular teams. Requirements

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiology (Board Eligibility required within 5 years of fellowship completion)

  • Moderate - Clinical - Moderate clinical roles are patient facing roles that require continual movement, including standing, walking, and lifting 20–50 lbs., along with pushing and pulling medical equipment and assisting with patient positioning. Employees perform frequent bending, twisting, and reaching while completing fine motor tasks in busy or confined clinical environments. High sensory acuity is essential for monitoring patient status and responding to alarms or safety concerns. Emotional and cognitive demands are substantial, involving decision-making under pressure, responding to emergencies, and maintaining sustained focus. Environmental exposures include infectious agents, bodily fluids, chemicals, and radiation. TB testing, mask-fit testing, and physical exams are common requirements.
