Physician - Cardiology: Invasive - Interventional
About The Position
Franciscan Physician Network is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Cardiologist who specializes in Invasive - Intervention with a passion for PCI and Peripheral vascular procedures to join us at Indiana Heart Physicians located in Indianapolis, Indiana. The ideal candidate will join a large, equal shares, multi-specialty team of twenty-nine cardiologists, two cardiac hospitalists, and twenty-six advanced practice providers. The candidate should have a passion for PCI and peripheral vascular procedures, clinical excellence, and patient satisfaction. They will need to display exceptional interpersonal skills and a desire to develop strong ties with the community and existing medical staff. The physician will work collaboratively with all physicians and staff members within the Cardiology service line to coordinate and deliver the highest quality of patient care. Indiana Heart Physicians, founded in 1978, serves the communities of South and Central Indiana, working collaboratively with Franciscan Health to provide high-quality, patient-centered cardiovascular care and staying on the cutting edge of technology.
Requirements
- Board Certified/Board Eligible Cardiologist
- Specializes in Invasive - Intervention
- Passion for PCI and Peripheral vascular procedures

- Ability to work collaboratively with all physicians and staff members
- Doctorate Required
- Physician License (DR/DO) - Upon Hire Required
- Board Certification in Specialty Discipline (or eligibility if appropriate) - Upon Hire Required
- Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association Upon Hire Required
Nice To Haves
- Experience with TAVR
- Experience with Transcatheter Mitral Valve Repair
- Experience with Cardiac angioplasty and stent placement, including drug eluting stents
- Experience with Rotational atherectomy
- Experience with Carotid stenting
- Experience with Peripheral vascular procedures
Responsibilities
- Two weeks per month in clinic, Monday – Friday
- Two weeks per month rounding in hospital, Monday – Friday
- STEMI Call 1:6: Friday – Friday, 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.
- Holiday & Weekend Call: 1:6
- Perform TAVR
- Perform Transcatheter Mitral Valve Repair
- Perform Cardiac angioplasty and stent placement, including drug eluting stents
- Perform Rotational atherectomy
- Perform Carotid stenting
- Perform Peripheral vascular procedures
