Physician - Cardiology Interventional
About The Position
Franciscan Health is seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified Interventional Cardiologist to join the Franciscan Health Heart Center in Michigan City, Indiana. The ideal candidate will specialize in Invasive Intervention with a passion for PCI and Peripheral vascular procedures. This role involves rounding in the hospital two weeks per month, with potential outreach to Crown Point, IN. The physician will work collaboratively with other cardiologists and staff to deliver high-quality patient care. The position offers a strong mentorship program, dedicated cath lab time, and the opportunity to build a busy practice quickly. State-of-the-art labs and robust business development support are also provided.
Requirements
- Board Eligible/Board Certified Interventional Cardiologist
- Specializes in Invasive Intervention with a passion for PCI and Peripheral vascular procedures
- Exceptional interpersonal skills
- Doctorate - Required
- Physician License (MD/DO) - Upon Hire Required
- Board Certification in Specialty Discipline (or eligibility if appropriate) - Upon Hire Required
- Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association - Upon Hire Required

Responsibilities
- Rounding in hospital two weeks per month, Monday – Friday
- Potential outreach to Crown Point, IN
- Participate in STEMI call rotation (1:3)
- Provide call coverage (10 days per month)
- Manage an average outpatient volume of 15-20 patients per day
- Manage an average rounding volume of 10-15 patients per day
- Utilize dedicated Cath Lab time
- Offer telehealth services
- Work collaboratively with all physicians and staff members within the Cardiology service line to coordinate and deliver the highest quality of patient care.
