About The Position

Sanford Health is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible non-invasive cardiologist to join Marshfield Medical Center in Marshfield, Wisconsin. The role may be full-time or part-time and offers work in established departments with collegial teams and dedicated support staff. The practice provides a full spectrum of high-acuity cardiac care, with occasional outreach to other Marshfield Clinic Health System locations. Physicians are encouraged to participate in medical education and research. Core cardiology privileges include taking histories and performing physical examinations; admitting, evaluating, diagnosing, and treating adult patients with diseases of the heart, lungs, and blood vessels; and providing consultative services. Credentialing requirements and privileging documents take precedence if they differ from this job description. Marshfield is a community of about 20,000 people in central Wisconsin, with a low cost of living, short commutes, outdoor recreation, and local educational opportunities. H-1B and J-1 visas are accepted.

Requirements

M.D. or D.O. degree.
Board-certified or board-eligible in cardiology; applicants completing fellowship within the last five years may be eligible to obtain board certification within five years of fellowship completion, subject to applicable requirements.
Successful completion of a hospital-affiliated Internal Medicine residency and an ACGME-, AOA-, or Royal College-accredited Cardiology fellowship, subject to the stated credentialing provisions.
Demonstrate clinical activity and experience through the applicable fellowship or residency log, hospital quality profile, or documentation of clinical activity for the past 24 months.
Demonstrate active involvement in 100 cardiology procedures when the applicable quality profile or clinical activity documentation route is used.
For Level 2 or Level 3 cardiologists, provide evidence of 50 cardiac catheterizations as primary operator during the past two years with satisfactory quality data, if applicable to the practice.

Responsibilities

Provide non-invasive cardiology care to adult patients with diseases of the heart, lungs, and blood vessels.
Perform histories and physical examinations; admit, evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients; and provide consultative services.
Provide full-spectrum, high-acuity cardiac care.
Occasionally provide outreach at other Marshfield Clinic Health System locations.
Participate in medical education and research, as encouraged.
