About The Position

The West Virginia University Health System, the state’s largest health system and largest private employer, comprises 18 hospitals throughout the state and bordering states. In addition, it includes five institutes, as well as providing management services for other local hospitals through affiliate agreements. WVUHS Medical Group seeks a cardiac anesthesiologist. The successful candidate/candidates will be expected to practice in the primary location of South Charleston, WV. WVU Medicine is West Virginia University’s affiliated health system, West Virginia’s largest private employer, and a national leader in patient safety and quality. The WVU Health System is comprised of a network of 25 hospitals and their affiliated clinics, anchored by its flagship hospital, J.W. Ruby Memorial in Morgantown, an 881-bed academic medical center that offers tertiary and quaternary care. The organization is West Virginia’s largest multi-specialty physician practice. UHA operates and staffs clinics and hospitals throughout West Virginia and surrounding states.

Requirements

Must have an MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and be eligible for state medical license.
Must have completed an anesthesiology residency program.
Must have completed a cardiac anesthesia fellowship program.
Must be board certified / eligible in anesthesiology.
All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.
