About The Position

MemorialCare Medical Group is seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Breast Surgical Oncologist to join our multidisciplinary breast surgery program at MemorialCare Cancer Institute. This full-time employed opportunity offers a collaborative practice environment with comprehensive support services and strong referral relationships throughout the MemorialCare network. The physician will provide care in Newport Beach and Laguna Hills and will work closely with specialists in medical oncology, radiation oncology, breast imaging, and reconstructive surgery at Orange Coast Medical Center and at Saddleback Medical Center.

Requirements

• Fellowship training in Breast Surgical Oncology
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery
• Eligible for unrestricted California medical licensure
• DEA
• Excellent communication and patient-centered care skills

Nice To Haves

• Epic EMR experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Provide care in Newport Beach and Laguna Hills.
• Work closely with specialists in medical oncology, radiation oncology, breast imaging, and reconstructive surgery.
• Focus on both breast oncology and benign breast disease.
• Perform surgeries at Orange Coast Medical Center and Saddleback Medical Center as well as MemorialCare’s ambulatory surgery center.
• Participate in weekly breast tumor board conferences and coordinated treatment planning.
• Demonstrate a commitment to multidisciplinary breast cancer care.
