About The Position

Nicklaus Children’s Health System and Nicklaus Children’s Pediatric Specialists (NCPS) are seeking a board-certified or board-eligible (BC/BE) Congenial Cardiac Anesthesiologist to join the nationally recognized Heart Institute. This role involves providing perioperative care for neonatal, pediatric, and adult congenital heart patients, contributing to the growth of advanced cardiac programs. The position is within a premier pediatric and congenital heart program offering a full spectrum of cardiovascular services and is affiliated with Florida International University (FIU), with potential for a faculty appointment.

Requirements

MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
Completion of an accredited Anesthesiology Residency Program
Fellowship training in Pediatric Cardiac Anesthesiology or significant experience in Congenital Cardiac Anesthesia
Board certified or board eligible in Anesthesiology
Eligible for unrestricted Florida medical licensure
Strong clinical expertise in Congenital Heart Disease and Perioperative Cardiac Care

Responsibilities

Provides perioperative care for neonatal, pediatric, and adult congenital heart patients.
Contributes to the continued growth of advanced cardiac programs.
Manages complex cardiovascular physiology including cyanotic heart disease, pulmonary hypertension, heart failure, ECMO and VAD-supported patients.
Participates in advanced cardiac programs including heart transplantation, VAD, ECMO, ACHD, and hybrid or robotic procedures.
Provides care across cardiac ORs, cath lab, EP lab, hybrid suites, imaging environments, and bedside settings.
Participates in teaching, research, conferences, quality initiatives, and program development.
