About The Position

KidsStreet Urgent Care is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant (PA) to join their growing team in Savannah, GA. The PA will provide patient-focused care, aiming to help patients feel better quickly. The clinic offers a range of services including urgent care, primary medical care, telemedicine, and occupational medicine. The ideal candidate will be able to lead a small team in a high-volume, fast-paced urgent care setting. This role is open to new graduates, with comprehensive on-site orientation, training shifts, and ongoing support from existing providers and an on-call provider for clinical decision-making. The position allows for the full scope of practice, treating patients of all ages from infants to geriatrics, which helps keep skills sharp and enhances marketability. The PA will act as the primary medical provider in the clinic, leading a team of medical assistants and utilizing treatment protocols for guidance. The role also supports rural communities by providing access to care, with clinics open 362 days a year. Many clinics qualify for tuition reimbursement or student loan reimbursement grants, and the company assists with the application process. This role is described as a two-year commitment with significant returns for career growth.

Requirements

  • Physician Assistant Board Certification required.
  • MSN, or higher education required.
  • DOT certified or willing to become DOT certified (company covers cost).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working in EMR and Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, etc.) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Care for every patient who comes through the door within your scope of practice.
  • Diagnose and treat common illnesses such as cold, flu, strep, COVID, and other upper respiratory issues.
  • Perform minor procedures including toenail removal and foreign object removal.
  • Suture wounds.
  • Splint fractures.
  • Provide general orthopedic evaluations and management.
  • Review x-rays (to be over-read by a Radiologist).
  • Address general dermatology issues.
  • Manage general eye problems.
  • Perform general EKG interpretations.
  • Utilize emergency management skills.
  • Provide general GYN expertise.
  • Treat children of all ages.
  • Provide occupational medicine services.
  • Conduct telemedicine consultations.
