Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant / Nurse Practitioner program.
  • Board certified Virginia State License.
  • BLS certification and commitment to maintaining CEUs in clinical practice.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in orthopedic or related fields (highly desired), though new graduates with a passion for orthopedics are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong communication, customer service, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work independently, respond effectively in emergency situations, and maintain professionalism at all times.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with a wide range of audiences
  • Able to lift 30 lbs without assistance
  • Employment contingent on successful completion of background, drug, and TB screen

Responsibilities

  • Conduct physical exams, compile medical histories, and implement treatment plans for both new and established patients.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic studies to ensure accurate and timely care.
  • Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, medications, and the road to recovery.
  • Provide preoperative and postoperative care in coordination with supervising physicians.
  • Participate in surgical procedures and provide intraoperative care in the OR as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough medical records while ensuring compliance with practice guidelines.
  • Collaborate with physicians and the broader care team to deliver outstanding patient outcomes.
  • Perform procedures and assessments with precision and professionalism, ensuring continuity of care.
