At Summit Orthopedic Specialists, were looking for a Physician Assistant who is clinically strong, team-oriented, and eager to contribute to a positive, engaged workplace culture. Summit Orthopedic Specialists is seeking a motivated Physician Assistant to join our growing practice specializing in knees, hips, and shoulders. Position Overview: The Physician Assistant will play a key role in delivering high-quality orthopedic care in both clinic and surgical settings. This position offers a balance of independent patient care and close collaboration with orthopedic surgeons. - Average of 2530 patient visits per day in clinic - Primarily clinic-based during the first year, with the opportunity to expand into surgical assistance - Collaborative, team-based care model with strong clinical support

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
  • Eligible for or currently holding California PA licensure
  • Strong interest in orthopedics
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment
  • A positive, team-first mindset, and willingness to actively contribute to a supportive and engaged workplace culture

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive orthopedic patient evaluations and follow-up visits
  • Order and interpret diagnostic imaging and tests
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with physicians
  • Perform procedures including injections, wound care, and bracing
  • Provide patient education on treatment plans and recovery expectations
  • Assist in surgery and provide perioperative support (as role progresses)
  • Perform hospital rounds and patient assessments
  • Respond to after-hours patient inquiries and clinical questions
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation
  • Participate in monthly provider and leadership meetings to support care coordination and practice improvement efforts
