About The Position

Spine Care Partners is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant to join our spine team in a clinic-focused role supporting Dr. Stevenson and Dr. Trimble. This position is ideal for a PA with experience in spine, neurosurgery, orthopedic surgery, or musculoskeletal care who enjoys patient interaction, clinical decision-making, and managing care plans in an outpatient setting. The PA will play a key role in evaluating patients, developing treatment plans, and managing follow-up care.

Requirements

Active Florida Physician Assistant license or eligibility
NCCPA certification
Minimum 1–2+ years of experience as a PA in spine, neurosurgery, orthopedic, or related specialty
Strong experience with musculoskeletal or neurologic patient care
BLS and/or ACLS required in specific areas.
Must be a graduate of CAAHEP (Council on the Accreditations of Allied Health Education Programs) approved university program. NCCPA certification required. Must be licensed/certified or eligible to practice as PA in the State of Florida.
Comfortable working in fast paced environment.
Proven work experience as a physician assistant
Knowledge of medical guidelines and procedures regarding examination, therapy and recovery
Problem solving skills and ability to multi-task
Caring and compassionate
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Highly organized with strong attention to detail

Nice To Haves

Direct experience in spine surgery or neurosurgery clinic setting
Familiarity with spine conditions, imaging interpretation, and conservative management pathways
Experience managing high patient volumes in a clinic environment

Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive patient evaluations, including history and physical exams
Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with the physicians
Review and interpret diagnostic imaging (X-ray, MRI, CT)
Manage follow-up visits, including post-operative and conservative care patients
Provide patient education on diagnoses, treatment options, and recovery expectations
Order and review labs, imaging, and referrals as appropriate
Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols. Complies with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; and enforcing adherence to requirements and advising management on needed actions.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
Assist with in-office procedures as needed (injections, wound care, etc.)
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EMR
