Position Overview: Participates in the provision of a community-oriented primary care program, by providing general medical care to patients of El Centro Family Health. May provide clinical supervision, technical assistance and guidance to health professional students and other medical providers What You Will Do: Maintain clinical standards by maintaining a professional and positive demeanor, by being a key member of the health team, by commitment to quality of care and organizational support. Conduct physical exams, diagnose, treat illness, order and interpret tests, counsel on preventive health care, and write prescriptions. Perform all duties consistent with evidence-based guidelines in clinical practice. Perform other related assigned duties and responsibilities, in accordance with the employee's job description and ECFH Code of Ethics Policy. Provide services within their scope of practice which may include general patient care (history, examination, diagnosis, ordering further studies as appropriate, ordering treatment, education. and referral as appropriate), minor procedures, and local anesthesia. Ensure productivity in accordance with annual Leadership encounter and monthly reports. Refer patients for specialty consultation and treatment as appropriate. Document patient-medical provider interactions in a timely manner for proper record keeping and billing. Assist the Regional Medical Manager and Chief Clinical Officer by being involved in the recruitment, retention, and evaluation of medical staff. Maintain professional and technical knowledge by participating in continuing education or seminars related to job responsibilities. Tracks continuing education to ensure adequate hours to maintain license and board certification. Adhere to customer service by exhibiting behavior and actions which create high level of patient and customer relations which reflect respect for the patients and customer's rights, needs, and confidentiality. Consult with supervisor or other ECFH medical providers as needed including the following: any patient requiring transfer to a higher level of care any patient requiring critical care in the clinic, including Code Blue or imminent delivery. any patient where provider feels they need help with diagnosis or plan Participate in clinic meetings, provider breakfast meetings, and other meetings as assigned. Maintain a professional and positive demeanor. Maintain commitment to quality care and organizational support. Other duties as assigned.
