About The Position

MainStreet Family Care is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant (PA) to join their growing team in Forest City, NC. This role focuses on providing patient-centered care to help patients feel better quickly, offering services in urgent care, primary medical care, telemedicine, and occupational medicine. The ideal candidate will be able to lead a small team in a high-volume, fast-paced urgent care setting. This opportunity is suitable for PAs early in their careers, including new graduates. The company provides extensive support, including an on-site HQ orientation and training, training shifts with experienced providers, a complimentary pediatric urgent care course, and an on-call provider for clinical decision-making support. PAs will utilize their full scope of practice, treating patients of all ages from infants to geriatrics, which helps maintain and enhance skills. The role emphasizes leadership, with PAs acting as the primary medical provider in the clinic, supported by treatment protocols and medical assistants. A significant aspect of the role involves supporting rural communities that have limited access to care. MainStreet clinics are open 362 days a year, and many clinics qualify for tuition reimbursement or student loan reimbursement grants, which the company assists with. Requirements

• Physician Assistant Board Certification required.
• MSN, or higher education required.
• Experience working in EMR and Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, etc.) preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• DOT certified or willing to become DOT certified (company covers the cost).

Responsibilities

• Care for every patient who comes through the door within your scope of practice.
• Diagnose and treat cold, flu, strep, COVID, and other upper respiratory issues.
• Perform minor procedures (toenail removal, foreign object removal, etc.).
• Suture.
• Splint.
• Conduct general orthopedic evaluations/management.
• Review x-rays (to be over-read by Radiologist).
• Handle general dermatology cases.
• Address general eye problems.
• Perform general EKG interpretations.
• Utilize emergency management skills.
• Provide general GYN expertise.
• Treat children of all ages.
• Provide occupational medicine services.
• Conduct telemedicine appointments.
