About The Position

MainStreet Family Care is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant (PA) to join their growing team in Erwin, NC. The PA will provide patient-focused care, aiming to help patients feel better quickly. The clinic offers urgent care, primary medical care, telemedicine, and occupational medicine services. The ideal candidate will be able to lead a small team in a high-volume, fast-paced urgent care environment. This role is suitable for PAs early in their careers, including new graduates. The company provides comprehensive support, including HQ orientation, training shifts with experienced providers, a complimentary pediatric urgent care course, and an on-call provider for clinical decision-making support. The position allows PAs to utilize their full scope of practice, treating patients of all ages from infants to geriatrics, which helps maintain and enhance skills. The PA will act as a leader within the clinic, making independent medical decisions and guiding a team of medical assistants. The role also involves supporting rural communities that have limited access to care. MainStreet clinics are open 362 days a year to meet community needs. Many clinics qualify for tuition reimbursement or student loan reimbursement grants, and the company assists with the application process. Requirements

  • Physician Assistant Board Certification required.
  • MSN, or higher education required.
  • Experience working in EMR and Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, etc.) preferred.
  • DOT certified or willing to become DOT certified (we cover the cost of the certification).

Responsibilities

  • Care for every patient who comes through the door within your scope of practice.
  • Diagnose and treat cold, flu, strep, COVID, and other upper respiratory issues.
  • Perform minor procedures (toenail removal, foreign object removal, etc.).
  • Suture.
  • Splint.
  • Conduct General Orthopedic evaluations/management.
  • Review x-rays (to be over-read by Radiologist).
  • Handle General Dermatology.
  • Address General eye problems.
  • Perform General EKG interpretations.
  • Utilize Emergency management skills.
  • Demonstrate General GYN expertise.
  • Treat children of all ages.
  • Provide Occupational medicine services.
  • Offer Telemedicine services.
