About The Position

Baylor Scott & White Clinic – Georgetown is seeking a Physician Assistant (PA) to join their collaborative Urgent Care team. This is an opportunity for a compassionate, experienced APP who values work-life balance, predictable scheduling, strong team support, and meaningful patient relationships. The Physician Assistant in Urgent Care will evaluate and treat adult patients with a broad range of acute illnesses and injuries, practicing evidence-based medicine while working closely with physicians and an experienced multidisciplinary team.

Requirements

Grad of an Accredited Program
Less than 1 Year of Experience
Physician Assistants (PA)
Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire or transfer
Compassionate and patient-centered
Clinically confident with strong judgment and critical-thinking skills
A strong communicator and team player
Committed to evidence-based, high-quality care
Comfortable caring for an adult and geriatric population
Interested in building meaningful relationships with patients

Nice To Haves

At least one year of relevant APP experience

Responsibilities

Performing comprehensive and problem-focused histories and physical examinations
Evaluating and diagnosing acute illnesses and injuries
Ordering and interpreting laboratory and diagnostic testing
Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans
Prescribing medications and recommending appropriate therapies
Performing procedures within your scope of practice and clinical privileges
Educating patients and families about diagnoses, medications, treatment, and prevention
Coordinating referrals and consultation when appropriate
Maintaining accurate medical records
Collaborating with physicians and other members of the care team
