About The Position
Advance your emergency medicine career with TeamHealth! We have an opportunity for a physician assistant to join our emergency department team at Valley View Medical Center in Fort Mohave, Arizona. This facility supports an annual ED volume of 20,000 and provides coverage in 12-hour shifts. There is a hospitalist program in place, and an admit rate of 15%. The EMR utilized within this facility is MedHost. Additional features of this site include helicopter service and EMS base station with a transfer rate of 3%. In this role you will see patients ranging from pediatric to geriatric with the support of an experienced nursing staff. Specialty back up includes cath lab, GI, cardiology, neurology, OB/Gyn, ortho, peds, psych, and urology.
Requirements
- Experience in EM as a PA
- ACLS certification
- ATLS certification
- PALS certification
Responsibilities
- Provide emergency medical care to patients ranging from pediatric to geriatric.
- Work in a 12-hour shift schedule.
- Collaborate with an experienced nursing staff.
- Utilize MedHost EMR system.
- Support helicopter service and EMS base station operations.
