About The Position

Neurology Services, Inc., is looking to hire a full-time Physician Assistant. You will be supporting the founder, Dr. Peter Bernad, who offers effective and individualized treatments to correct a host of medical conditions. He is a board-certified physician and has broad experience in pediatric, medical and surgical care. The practice does not perform surgery but focuses on determining the basis or cause of a patient’s problem. We treat patients with a wide variety of neurological problems such as: epilepsy, Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, headaches, Myasthenia Gravis, tumors, strokes, Alzheimer’s disease, hemorrhage, myofascial pain syndrome, closed head injuries (concussions), compensation injuries and chemical toxicity to the nervous system. Neurology Services, Inc. is a modern, comprehensive, evaluation and diagnostic treatment center serving the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area for over 40 years. Requirements

  • valid Physician Assistant license (includes a master’s degree)
  • 3 to 5 years of experience as a Physician Assistant
  • positive attitude
  • excellent communication skills
  • technological savviness
  • Have experience with electronic medical records
  • Provide references

Responsibilities

  • seeing patients in-office or via telephone
  • evaluate and manage patient's general health care as patient's primary care provider
  • perform physical exams, identify illnesses, and manage acute and chronic conditions
  • request and analyze laboratory tests, x-rays, and other diagnostic imaging
  • write prescriptions for medications
  • assist with minor office-based procedures like suturing or injections
  • ability to travel between offices based on staffing and patient needs which suggest the need for a reliable personal vehicle
