About The Position
AFC Urgent Care is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant to join its team in San Diego, California. The role is based in urgent care centers that provide walk-in treatment for acute illnesses and injuries, with on-site laboratory and X-ray services. The practice serves patients of all ages and supports minor procedures such as suturing lacerations and draining abscesses. Scheduling options include 8–10 shifts per month, typically 2–3 workdays per week, with 9–12-hour shifts. Center hours are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.; availability for day, evening, and weekend shifts is required. Pre-approved overtime is available, and compensation includes an hourly rate of $74–$78 and additional biweekly bonuses based on patient-volume thresholds. Full-time benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid vacation, a 401(k), and CME reimbursement.
Requirements
- Unrestricted medical license in California.
- DEA certificate.
- NCCPA board certification.
- At least two years of experience in an emergency department, urgent care, or primary care setting.
- Ability to treat patients of all ages and comfort with minor procedures.
- Availability to work day, evening, and weekend shifts.
