About The Position

Inspire Health Medical Group is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant to serve as a lead PA, on the Surgical ICU service, including serving as a teacher and mentor for residents, students and other PA’s that serves the growing population of Fresno, CA at Community Regional Medical Center (CRMC). CRMC is the only Level 1 Trauma Center in the Central Valley of California, serving a large and diverse patient population. CRMC is a teaching institution affiliated with UCSF Fresno’s surgical residency program, making it an ideal environment for collaborative learning opportunities and professional development. The PA will have at least 3 plus years of Intensive Care unit Experience. They will participate in the initial assessment and stabilization of ICU patients as well as performing daily rounds on admitted patients. Procedures performed include tube thoracostomy, central venous catheter placement, arterial line placement, and wound management. This position is based in Fresno, California – a city with a quality of life that is uniquely Californian, yet affordable. Limitless recreational opportunities and spectacular scenery are accessible in a community with abundant affordable housing. While there is much to see and do in Fresno, the city is ideally located for convenient getaways to places such as the majestic Sierra National Forest and the scenic Central Coast. Fresno is the only major city in the country with proximity to three national parks – including the renowned Yosemite National Park.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years plus of ICU experience
  • Current or Eligibility to obtain a California Physician Assistant License
  • Graduate of ARC-PA Accredited Physician Assistant Program is required
  • Certified NCCPA Certification
  • Current BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the initial assessment and stabilization of ICU patients
  • Perform daily rounds on admitted patients
  • Perform tube thoracostomy
  • Perform central venous catheter placement
  • Perform arterial line placement
  • Perform wound management
