About The Position

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is seeking a Physician Assistant - Surgery to join the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/South Brooklyn Health. This role will provide clinical care in an outpatient setting, including patient examination, interpretation of diagnostic tests, and counseling patients on physical and mental health. The Physician Assistant will also assist in the Operating Room with a surgical robot, perform inpatient rounds, collect data, and write progress notes. They will develop patient management plans in conjunction with the attending physician and inform the supervising physician of any changes in patient condition or test results. Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant education program.
• Current NYS registration as a Physician Assistant.
• Current certification issued by the NCCPA.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical care in an outpatient setting including patient examination, recommendations for and/or interpretation of appropriate routine diagnostic tests.
• Inform the supervising physician of all changes in the patient's condition and pertinent diagnostic results.
• Surgical assist in the Operating Room with a surgical robot.
• Perform inpatient rounds, collect data and write pertinent progress notes on charts.
• Counsel patients regarding physical and mental health.
• Develop patient management plans in accordance with established protocols in conjunction with the attending physician.
