About The Position
This is a Locum Tenens position for a Physician Assistant specializing in Surgery Trauma in Columbia, SC. The role involves providing clinical support within the Trauma Surgery unit, collaborating with the surgical team, and managing patient care. The position requires maintaining accurate documentation in the Epic EMR system and adhering to facility protocols for trauma patient management. The duration of this assignment is 13 weeks, with a shift schedule of 5x11-Hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
Requirements
- Board Certified required
- Active SC license
- ACLS, BLS, ATLS, PALS certifications
- Minimum 2 years post-residency practice experience
- EMR proficiency (Epic)
- Clean malpractice history required
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical support within the Trauma Surgery unit.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to manage patient care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the Epic EMR system.
- Adhere to facility protocols and quality standards for trauma patient management.
- Participate in required onboarding and orientation modules.
