We are looking for a Physician Assistant to join our Sports Medicine team and partner closely with our orthopedic physicians to provide exceptional, patient-centered care. Within the physician–PA relationship and your scope of practice, you'll have the opportunity to evaluate patients, develop treatment plans, manage follow-up care, and make clinical decisions. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Successful completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • Current NCCPA certification.
  • Current Colorado Physician Assistant license.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Enjoys working collaboratively with physicians and clinical teammates.
  • Is comfortable making thoughtful clinical decisions within your scope of practice.
  • Communicates medical information clearly and compassionately.
  • Builds trust and rapport with patients.
  • Can balance independence with knowing when to seek physician collaboration.
  • Enjoys working in a specialty environment where patient care is the focus.
  • Is organized, dependable, and attentive to detail.
  • Has an interest in sports medicine, orthopedics, and musculoskeletal care.

Nice To Haves

  • At least one year of experience practicing as a Physician Assistant.
  • Experience in sports medicine, orthopedics, or another musculoskeletal specialty.
  • Experience evaluating and treating sports-related injuries and orthopedic conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate patients presenting with sports-related injuries, orthopedic conditions, and musculoskeletal complaints.
  • Obtain medical histories and perform comprehensive physical examinations.
  • Develop and manage patient treatment plans in collaboration with orthopedic physicians.
  • Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic testing within your scope of practice.
  • Provide pre-operative and post-operative care.
  • Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate.
  • Provide patient education regarding diagnoses, treatment options, medications, and follow-up care.
  • Perform appropriate procedures and interventions within your scope of practice and training.
  • Coordinate referrals and additional services when appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation.
  • Consult with physicians regarding complex cases or changes in patient condition.
  • Provide continuity of care through follow-up visits and ongoing patient communication.
  • Participate in clinical rounds and other patient-care activities as assigned.
