About The Position

Diversified Radiology is seeking a Physician Assistant to join their team. The Physician Assistant will work in accordance with the Diagnostic Radiologists and Interventional Radiology team to provide exceptional patient care and assist in day-to-day clinical operations. The role requires the ability to adapt to various clinical situations and perform a variety of complex procedures. The Physician Assistant will enhance patient care by assisting Radiology Physicians in performing procedures, usually under image guidance, in the Interventional and diagnostic imaging environment. The Physician Assistant must interpret information to identify patient's age-specific needs and involve other care partners as needed to ensure appropriate clinical services. The scope of work is defined by the supervising Radiologist and facility.

Requirements

• Graduate level education
• Certification by the NCCPA, ACLS, BLS
• One year clinical experience required in surgery, trauma, critical care, vascular, experience with clinical procedures and inpatient/outpatient consultations preferred
• Certification of Colorado Fluoroscopy Operator via the completion of an approved fluoroscopy training program
• Clean MVR is required
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal skills
• Ability to perform procedures requiring fine motor skills to include repetitive hand work
• Apply critical-thinking and problem-solving skills to function effectively and adapt to a dynamic and often changing work environment including multiple hospital facilities
• Direct Clinical Experience
• Adept with EMR, PACS and dictation systems
• Effective utilization of clinical equipment to include US/Fluoro/CT/Sherlock
• Highly motivated, ability to work with little supervision

Responsibilities

• Performing procedures under general and proximate supervision and E&M within the scope of practice of a radiology PA and as outlined on the delineation of privileges.
• Operating computerized and diagnostic imaging equipment.
• Assisting with training of new PA hires, including clinical responsibilities and procedural skillset.
• Participating, collaborating, and actively engaging with PA administration, radiologists, and hospital staff to achieve goals and mutually beneficial outcomes.
• Managing complex patients through advanced decision making, interpretation of laboratory values, assessment of radiological studies, clinical evaluations, and procedures.
• Serving as an educational and clinical resource to staff, patients, and their families.
• Assisting with the formulation of policies and protocols related to the PA team and clinical workflow based on established guidelines.
• Participating in a light emergency call rotation once trained and credentialed, working a reduced work week to compensate for being 'On Call' every fourth week.
• Assuming other duties as assigned by the Operations Committee.
• Organizing time and workload to manage all service lines.
• Maintaining the confidentiality of all patient records and information.

• Year One bonus opportunity of $10k if all eligibility requirements are met ($5k sign-on at 6-month anniversary, and $5k retention at 1 year anniversary).
• Second Year bonus opportunity of $10k on 2nd anniversary if all eligibility requirements are met.
• Total of 8 weeks paid time off: 5.8 weeks of vacation, 6 holidays, 5 days CME.
• $2,500 for CME expenses per year
• Up to a 10% yearly performance bonus
