About The Position

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is seeking a Physician Assistant - Radiology (Cardiac) to join their team at NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi and North Central Bronx. Jacobi Medical Center is a 457-bed, Level I Trauma Center and North Central Bronx Hospital (NCB) has 213 licensed beds. Jacobi and NCB are leaders in emergency medicine, trauma surgery, burn care, pediatrics, primary care, and women’s health, with an academic affiliation with Albert Einstein College of Medicine. NYC Health + Hospitals is the largest municipal health care delivery system in the United States. This role provides radiology services under the supervision of an ABR-certified radiologist. Responsibilities include conducting pre-testing chart reviews, health history, and physical assessments, documenting patient care, and ensuring continuity of care by liaising between patients and the multidisciplinary care team. The position also involves participation in quality assurance programs and chart reviews.

Requirements

• Current NYS registration as a Physician Assistant
• Current certification issued by the NCCPA

Responsibilities

• Provides radiology services within scope under the supervision of an ABR-certified radiologist.
• Conducts pre-testing chart review, health history, and physical assessments.
• Documents assessment, treatment, and follow-up care in the patient record.
• Ensures continuity of care by serving as a liaison between patient and other members of the multi-disciplinary care team or with other specialty areas, as necessary.
• Participates in quality assurance programs and chart reviews through the review of records and treatment plans.
