About The Position

Summit Health is seeking a licensed Physician Assistant (PA) to work collaboratively with a team of 2 Interventional Radiologists and 1 IR Physician Assistant. This is a unique opportunity to practice in a well-equipped, state-of-the-art freestanding Interventional Radiology facility. The role involves time split between an outpatient facility and a hospital setting, providing care for Summit Health patients. While Interventional Radiology or Surgical experience is preferred, training will be provided. Responsibilities include performing minimally invasive procedures, seeing patients in both hospital and clinic settings, and participating in department quality improvement activities. There are no night or weekend calls associated with this position.

Requirements

Physician Assistant degree required.
1-year Interventional Radiology experience required.
Physician Assistant New Jersey License required.
BLS/ACLS certification required.
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills required.
Strong ability to perform diverse work assignments and make decisions with time limitations and with a high degree of accuracy required.

Nice To Haves

Interventional Radiology or Surgical experience preferred.
2-4 years of Interventional Radiology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist with all interventional radiology procedures as directed by IR.
Injection, exchange and removal of drainage catheters to include GU and GI drains.
Imaging guided thoracentesis and paracentesis.
Perform vascular access placements and removals including PICCs, Ports, tunneled lines.
Perform arthrocentesis and joint injections under imaging guidance.
Seeing new consults in clinic and hospital setting. Arrange for follow up as necessary.
Participating in department quality improvement activities.
