About The Position
Ocracoke Health Center, Inc. is seeking a Physician Assistant to join the care team at Engelhard Medical Center in rural Hyde County, North Carolina. We provide compassionate, community-focused care in an area shaped by fishing, farming, and small-town life. As a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), we provide comprehensive primary care services to all patients regardless of their ability to pay, with a strong focus on serving rural and underserved communities.
Requirements
- Is licensed as a Physician Assistant in North Carolina (or eligible for licensure)
- Has experience in primary care or family practice (new graduates are encouraged to apply)
- Brings strong clinical skills and a collaborative mindset
- Enjoys building relationships with patients and colleagues
Responsibilities
- Provide primary and preventive care to patients of all ages
- Collaborate with experienced physicians, other mid-level practitioners, and clinical staff in a supportive, team-oriented environment
- Participate in community health initiatives that make a meaningful impact
