About The Position

This role is for a Physician Assistant in Primary Care at Brook Lane. The position involves managing all medical care outside of psychiatric care for patients aged 8 and older, with an average daily volume of approximately 15 patients, plus lab reviews and EKG interpretation. Requirements

• Master's in Physician Assistant required
• License to practice as Physician Assistant in the State of Maryland required
• Current DEA Registration and CDS permit required
• Current BLS (CPR) in compliance with policy required
• ACLS in compliance with policy required
• Demonstrates critical thinking, extensive clinical competence and expertise
• Demonstrated ability to work well with all disciplines at all levels
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Fluency in coding, ICD-10 and CPT, or commitment to acquire

Nice To Haves

• One-year experience as a Physician Assistant preferred

Responsibilities

• Complete History & Physicals (H&Ps) for all new admissions within 24 hours
• Provide medical consults upon request from attending psychiatrists
• Conduct follow-ups for chronic conditions and lab value reviews
• Independently read EKGs (cardiologist oversight not required)
• Perform minimal procedures, mostly cerumen removal and occasional wound care
