The Physician Assistant (PA) Primary Care is a licensed, certified healthcare provider who provides direct patient care and has prescriptive authority. They are credentialed, privileged, and billed as an independent provider by Medicare and Medicaid. The Advanced Practice Provider offers medical care based on the supervising physician's scope of practice. These providers typically provide care to patients in an internal medicine, family medicine, geriatric or pediatric clinic. Join an established Enhanced Care Team (ECT) model with strong interdisciplinary support. The role involves a Monday-Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with flexible scheduling options available. Occasional extended hours and half-day Saturday coverage may be required. There are no hospital rounding or inpatient responsibilities. The average patient volume is approximately 18 patients per day, caring for patients across the lifespan in a primary care setting. The role includes a mix of new patient visits, follow-ups, established patient care, and acute access appointments. Opportunities exist to perform minor office procedures including cryotherapy, Pap smears, joint injections, incision & drainage (I&D), and additional minor procedures. A dedicated CMA is assigned to the provider, with additional support from LVNs, RNs, and Patient Service Specialists. A collaborative care environment with access to multiple support staff members is provided, along with monthly physician collaboration and quality assurance with the supervising physician. Structured onboarding and mentorship are provided by the supervising physician, APP leadership, and clinic care team. Outpatient Epic training is also provided.
