About The Position

This is a PRN role where the Physician Assistant will be utilized as needed. The role involves operating the clinic, examining patients, and interpreting reports. The Physician Assistant will provide comprehensive clinical plastic surgery services, be present in the operating suite for some surgical procedures, and act as first-assist on more in-depth cases. They will also see patients in the clinic and provide consultative services at the patient's bedside if the patient is not ambulatory, or in the clinic setting if the patient is able to report to the outpatient clinic. Additionally, the Physician Assistant will provide discharge education and follow-up instructions coordinated with the next care setting for all Plastic Surgery clinical or surgical patients.

Requirements

  • Must hold an active, current, and unrestricted (unflagged) state Physician Assistant license from any of the Fifty (50) United States or the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico.
  • Must have valid, current board certifications if applicable (PA must be NCCPA certified).
  • Must have a valid, unrestricted DEA with schedules II- V.
  • Must have experience in Plastic surgery, as the PA will assist as needed on surgical procedures and will see patients in clinic.
