About The Position

Platinum Dermatology Partners is a growing network of dermatology clinics offering a wide range of services including general dermatology, cosmetic, medical, plastic surgery, and cancer screening. We are seeking a Full Time Medical Assistant to support a busy Plastic Surgery clinic in Scottsdale, AZ. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of the clinic and providing excellent patient care. Requirements

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Medical Assistant training is required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a medical office as a medical assistant.
  • Prior plastic surgery, cosmetic, aesthetics, operating room, or office procedure experience is required.
  • Friendly, energetic personality with strong customer service skills.
  • Quality written and verbal communication skills.
  • Professional in appearance and mannerisms.
  • Knowledgeable of medical plastic surgery terms/CPT, ICD-10.
  • Able to demonstrate compassion and caring when dealing with others, patients, and co-workers.
  • Able to prioritize tasks efficiently in a busy clinical environment, understand the provider’s instructions, and know when to seek information or advice.
  • Experience working on electronic medical records.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification preferred (i.e., Certified Medical Assistant, Certified Dermatology Technician, Certified Surgical Assistant, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Assist a busy Plastic Surgery clinic with diverse patient types including pre-operative and post-operative cosmetic and reconstructive surgery patients.
  • Assist in-office procedures including skin cancer reconstructions, cosmetic injectables (Botox, filler), and smaller scale cosmetic surgeries including (fat transfer, laser resurfacing, chemical peels, liposuction, radio frequency/micro needling and hair transplantation).
  • Perform Phlebotomy for PRP procedures.
  • Escort patients to and from the exam room, help them prepare for the exam/procedure, gather and chart intake history, scribe the office visit, and enter prescriptions into the EMR.
  • Perform injections, suture removals, and other patient treatments.
  • Educate patients and respond to questions in the office/on the phone as needed.
  • Document all medical instructions given to patients.
  • Ensure proper photos and consent for procedures are completed.
  • Clean and organize exam rooms, prepare procedure trays, clean and autoclave instruments, and stock supplies.
  • Other duties as assigned.
