About The Position

This is a full-time Physician Assistant (PA) position in Pain Management at Central States Pain Clinic (CSP) in West Des Moines, IA. The role involves working closely with experienced physicians to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a collaborative outpatient setting. The clinic specializes in advanced interventional pain management, using minimally invasive, image-guided procedures and evidence-based treatment plans to help patients regain mobility and improve their quality of life. The position offers a Monday-Friday schedule with early Friday afternoons, no overnight shifts, and the opportunity to build long-term patient relationships.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program (ARC-PA)
Current Iowa Physician Assistant license
Current unrestricted DEA license
BCLS certification
Ability to maintain continuing education and certification requirements
Strong computer and documentation skills

Nice To Haves

ACLS certification
Experience in pain management, orthopedics, spine, family medicine, or related specialty

Responsibilities

Conduct patient evaluations and physical examinations
Obtain medical histories and formulate treatment plans
Order, interpret, and review diagnostic studies
Prescribe medications within state regulations
Perform procedures within scope of practice, including injections, wound care, suturing, immunizations, and infection management
Educate patients on treatment options and overall wellness
Monitor patient outcomes and modify treatment plans
Assist physicians with complex cases and emergency situations
Maintain accurate patient documentation
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and perform additional assigned duties
