Physician Assistant (PA) - Casual
About The Position
24/7 Occupational & Emergency Medicine Solutions (24/7 OEMS) is currently accepting applications for a casual Canadian Certified Physician Assistant (current and in good standing) interested in travel assignments (fly in, fly out) for Occupational Health clinics in the Northwest Territories, Nunavut, and Ontario. The Canadian Certified Physician Assistant will be expected to practice within the medical directives and formulary as approved by the 24/7 OEMS Medical Director. The PA will work as part of the on-site clinical team and have access to our 24/7 on-call emergency medicine consultants.
Requirements
- Canadian Certified Physician Assistant (Required)
- ACLS
- BLS
- CPR/AED Health Care Provider
Nice To Haves
- ATLS (preferred)
- Prior experience in occupational medicine
- Prior experience in the provision of advanced care in a remote setting
Responsibilities
- Provide on-site emergency / primary and occupational health services
- Assist with occupational injury / illness case management.
- Review pre-employment medical examinations.
- Provide occupational health surveillance services: audiometric, spirometry and respiratory fit testing.
- Provide drug and alcohol testing services.
