About The Position
The IMA Group is seeking a compassionate and experienced Physician Assistant to perform medical disability evaluations for our Veteran Affairs (VA) line of business. This role offers a predictable schedule with no treatment responsibilities, making it an excellent opportunity for providers seeking flexibility while continuing to make a meaningful impact on the lives of veterans. The role involves conducting comprehensive medical evaluations for veterans applying for VA disability benefits, reviewing medical histories, service records, and supporting documentation, performing focused physical examinations, and documenting findings and completing detailed, objective reports using an electronic system. Collaboration with support staff is also part of the role to ensure timely and accurate completion of evaluations.
Requirements
- Active Physician Assistant (PA-C) license in Alabama
- Strong clinical assessment skills
- Experience in primary care, family medicine, internal medicine, urgent care, emergency medicine, occupational health, orthopedics, or a related specialty preferred
- Excellent documentation and communication skills
Responsibilities
