About The Position
The IMA Group is seeking a compassionate and experienced Nurse Practitioner to perform medical disability evaluations for our Veteran Affairs (VA) line of business. This role offers a predictable schedule with no treatment responsibilities, making it an excellent opportunity for providers seeking flexibility while continuing to make a meaningful impact on the lives of veterans. Schedule: 2 days per week based on clinic needs and provider availability Full-time opportunities available for interested candidates
Requirements
- Active Nurse Practitioner license in Alabama
- Strong clinical assessment skills
- Excellent documentation and communication skills
Nice To Haves
- Experience in primary care, family medicine, internal medicine, urgent care, emergency medicine, occupational health, orthopedics, or a related specialty preferred
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive medical evaluations for veterans applying for VA disability benefits
- Review medical histories, service records, and supporting documentation
- Perform focused physical examinations
- Document findings and complete detailed, objective reports using our user-friendly electronic system
- Collaborate with support staff to ensure timely and accurate completion of evaluations
