About The Position
This position is for a full-time Physician Assistant (PA) at the faculty rank of Teaching Associate to join the total joint replacement service within the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Sports Medicine at the University of Washington. The PA will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary health team, providing comprehensive orthopaedic care to patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings. The position is on an annual appointment with a 12-month service period, with the equivalent of one month available for paid time off. The start date is flexible in fall or winter 2026/2027.
Requirements
- Current and valid Washington State Physician Assistant License.
- Graduate Degree from an accredited PA program.
- Nationally certified PA-C with DEA.
- Proven excellence working in an interdisciplinary collaborative team environment.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in orthopaedic care is preferred, but motivated and talented individuals can be trained.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive orthopaedic care to patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary health team that may include orthopaedic surgeons, plastic surgeons, primary care and rehabilitation medicine physicians, occupational therapists, as well as orthopaedic residents and fellows.
