The Advanced Practitioner (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) is responsible for providing healthcare services to patients under the supervision of, and/or in collaboration with, the attending physician. These services include, but are not limited to, medical evaluation, treatment, counseling, and referrals. Consists of diagnostic evaluations, therapeutic remediation, surgical assistance, and pharmaceutical prescription. The Advanced Practitioner will participate in patient satisfaction, quality, and performance improvement initiatives. The schedule is predictable for office hours and scheduled OR cases. Call Schedule is based on campus region: GSL/MI/CC will be 1:6 nights and weekends. Expectations include floor rounding and calls, and OR coverage. There is NO primary ER call at any location. Call time is paid for hourly when onsite and a home “pager” rate.
