About The Position

United Digestive is a large, well-established organization with approximately 140 physicians, 120 Mid-level Providers, and 27 endoscopy centers in the Southeast. The role is primarily based at Atlanta Gastroenterology Associates’ Stockbridge Medical Office, with travel to the Riverdale office. The position provides medical assistance to patients in the office and hospital and receives training and direction from practice physicians. Gastroenterology experience is preferred, but not required; new graduates are welcome to apply.

Requirements

• Master of Medical Science in Physician Assistant studies or Master of Science in Nursing as a Nurse Practitioner.
• Nurse Practitioner must be an adult or acute care Nurse Practitioner.
• Computer literacy and ability to operate Practice Management software and multiple Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work under pressure and maintain composure and a professional example for patients and coworkers.

Nice To Haves

• Gastroenterology experience; new graduates are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

• Run the daily GI outpatient clinic.
• Provide patients with accurate information about medical treatment or procedures and counsel them accordingly.
• Answer emails and voicemails and return patient calls in a timely and efficient manner.
• Abide by and promote HIPAA compliance, maintaining strict confidentiality regarding patient information.
• Provide a high level of quality patient care and customer service.
• Assess, respond to, and communicate issues in a timely manner.
• Communicate clearly with patients and coworkers by telephone, email, and in person.
• Interpret and apply clinical and non-clinical policies and procedures.
