About The Position

United Digestive is seeking a Physician Assistant (PA-C) or Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) for an outpatient role with Atlanta Gastroenterology Associates. The position is primarily based at the Stockbridge medical office, with travel to the Riverdale office as business needs dictate. The organization has approximately 140 physicians, 120 mid-level providers, and 27 endoscopy centers in the Southeast.

The provider assists patients in the office and hospital and receives training and direction from practice physicians. The role includes running a daily outpatient gastroenterology clinic, counseling patients about medical treatment or procedures, and responding to patient communications. Gastroenterology experience is preferred but not required; new graduates are welcome to apply.

Requirements

• Master of Medical Science as a Physician Assistant, or Master of Science in Nursing as a Nurse Practitioner, required.
• Nurse Practitioner must be adult or acute care.
• Must be computer literate and able to use Practice Management software and multiple Microsoft Office applications.
• Must be able to work under pressure and maintain composure and a professional example for patients and coworkers.

Nice To Haves

• Gastroenterology experience is preferred; new graduates are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

• Run the daily GI outpatient clinic.
• Accurately provide information to patients and counsel them regarding medical treatment or procedures.
• Answer emails and voicemails and return patient calls in a timely and efficient manner.
• Follow and promote HIPAA compliance and maintain strict confidentiality of patient information.
• Provide high-quality patient care and customer service.
• Assess, respond to, and communicate issues in a timely manner.
• Communicate clearly with patients and coworkers by telephone, email, and in person.
• Interpret and apply clinical and non-clinical policies and procedures.
