About The Position

TeamHealth is seeking a qualified physician assistant or nurse practitioner to join our emergency department team at Abrazo West Campus in Goodyear, Arizona. In this role, you will deliver high-quality, patient-centered emergency care in collaboration with board-certified emergency medicine physicians and an interdisciplinary clinical team. If you are a PA or NP who is clinically confident, team-oriented, and comfortable practicing in a fast-paced EM environment, you'll make a great addition to our team.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited PA or NP program
• Current Arizona state licensure or eligibility
• National certification (NCCPA for PAs or AANP/ANCC for NPs)
• DEA license
• ACLS and PALS required
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills

Nice To Haves

• EM experience preferred (new graduates with strong clinical training may be considered)

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients presenting to the ED
• Perform focused histories and physical examinations
• Order, interpret, and document diagnostic tests (labs, imaging, EKGs, etc.)
• Develop and implement treatment plans for a wide range of acute illnesses and injuries
• Perform procedures within scope of practice and demonstrated competency
• Collaborate with attending physicians, nursing staff, and consultants to ensure optimal patient care
• Accurately document patient encounters in the electronic medical record
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and departmental education as required
• Comply with hospital policies, clinical protocols, and regulatory standards
