About The Position
Corewell Health is seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our growing Medical Oncology Program. You will work primarily outpatient, with cross coverage to inpatient. Based in downtown Grand Rapids at our Lemmen-Holton Cancer Pavilion, part of Corewell Health's impressive medical mile, we invite you to explore the most comprehensive and robust cancer program in West Michigan. This includes more than 150 highly qualified, board-certified physicians representing more than 17 oncology specialties. Corewell Health's Cancer Program offers: Multispecialty Teams, Screening & Prevention, Supportive, Integrative & Palliative Care, Diagnostic & Treatment Services & Clinical Trials, 11 Comprehensive Programs, Specialized Radiation Oncologists, Breast Diagnostic Center, Nurse Navigation, Palliative Care Services, Psychiatric Oncology, Cancer Rehab. This is a full-time position where you will work closely with employed physicians. Job responsibilities include seeing established patients for solid tumor and/or first visits.
Requirements
- Master's Degree
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant educational program
- State of Michigan Physician Assistant license Upon Hire
- National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (PA-C) certification Upon Hire
- American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 Days
- American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within 120 Days (for PAs)
- American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within 120 Days
- Master's Degree (for NPs)
- For NPs who obtained their education and certification after 2000, must show evidence of completion of a master’s, post-master’s or doctorate from a Nurse Practitioner program that is accredited by the Commission on the Collegiate of Nursing Education or the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission
- State of Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) license Upon Hire
- State of Michigan Nurse Practitioner (NP) license Upon Hire
- American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 Days
- American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within 120 Days
- American Heart Association Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification Upon Hire (for NPs)

- New graduates with previous experience as an Oncology RN
