About The Position

The Cancer Care Service Line at Corewell Health is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join their growing Hematology program. This role will primarily focus on outpatient care at the Lemmen-Holton Cancer Pavilion, with additional responsibilities for cross-coverage on the inpatient floor at Butterworth Hospital. The position is part of a multispecialty team approach, including participation in tumor boards. The ideal candidate should possess strong communication skills, value team-based care, and be motivated to learn.

Requirements

• Master's Degree for Nurse Practitioners (if education/certification after 2000, must be from an accredited program).
• 3 years of relevant clinical experience.
• Previous experience functioning in a collaborative role.
• LIC-Registered Nurse (RN) - State of Michigan Upon Hire.
• LIC-Nurse Practitioner (NP) - State of Michigan Upon Hire.
• CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA or ARC within 90 days.
• CRT-Adv Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - AHA within 120 days.
• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant educational program.
• LIC-Physician Assistant - State of Michigan Upon Hire.
• CRT-Physician Asst Certified (PA-C) - NCCPA Upon Hire.
• CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA or ARC within 90 days.
• CRT-Pediatric Adv Life Support (PALS) - AHA within 120 days.
• CRT-Adv Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - AHA within 120 days.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience working as a Hematology/Oncology Advanced Practice Provider.
• Experience as a Nurse Practitioner.
• New graduates will be considered if CV demonstrates experience or special interest in oncology.

Responsibilities

• Support the growing Hematology practice.
• See patients primarily in the outpatient setting.
• Provide cross coverage to the inpatient floor.
• Participate in tumor boards with integrated teams.
• Participate in on-call responsibilities.
• Work on weekends/holidays as needed.
