PA/NP - Hematology Oncology Inpatient Weekend Holiday Coverage - Grand Rapids, MI
About The Position
The Cancer Care Service Line at Corewell Health is seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our growing Hematology and Medical Oncology program. Our patients and their families benefit from innovative, cutting-edge treatments and state-of-the-art programs and services. We specialize in treating the most complex types of cancers and each treatment plan is as unique as the patient who receives it! We invite you to explore the most comprehensive and robust cancer program in West Michigan. This casual (per diem) position will support our growing Hematology and Medical Oncology needs with an opportunity to see patients in the inpatient setting. You will work at Corewell Health’s Butterworth Hospital on our medical mile in downtown Grand Rapids, with an occasional need for consultation at our Blodgett Hospital campus, in nearby East Grand Rapids.
Requirements
- Master's Degree
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant educational program
- LIC-Physician Assistant - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required
- CRT-Physician Asst Certified (PA-C) - NCCPA National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants Upon Hire required
- CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association 90 Days required OR CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross 90 Days required
- CRT-Pediatric Adv Life Support (PALS) - AHA American Heart Association 120 Days required
- CRT-Adv Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - AHA American Heart Association 120 Days required
- Nurse Practitioners who obtained their education and certification after 2000 must show evidence of completion of a master’s, post-master’s or doctorate from a Nurse Practitioner program that is accredited by the Commission on the Collegiate of Nursing Education or the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission
- 3 years of relevant experience
- Current, relevant clinical experience
- Previous experience functioning in a collaborative role
- Experience as a Nurse Practitioner

Responsibilities
- Support growing Hematology and Medical Oncology needs.
