About The Position

Corewell Health's department of neurological health in Grand Rapids, Michigan offers an excellent full-time opportunity for a physician assistant or nurse practitioner to join their exceptional epilepsy team. As an important member of the epilepsy section, you would be responsible for evaluating new patients as well as following established patients in the practice. The ideal candidate would be passionate about this patient population and have some initial neurology training. We are open to both experienced APPs as well as new graduates.

Requirements

• Master's Degree (for Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant)
• Nurse Practitioners who obtained their education and certification after 2000 must show evidence of completion of a master’s, post-master’s or doctorate from a Nurse Practitioner program that is accredited by the Commission on the Collegiate of Nursing Education or the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission
• 3 years of relevant experience (for Nurse Practitioner)
• Current, relevant clinical experience (for Nurse Practitioner)
• Previous experience functioning in a collaborative role as a Nurse Practitioner
• LIC-Nurse Practitioner (NP) - State of Michigan (for Nurse Practitioner)
• CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) (for Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant)
• CRT-Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) (for Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant)
• CRT-Pediatric Adv Life Support (PALS) (for Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant)
• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant educational program (for Physician Assistant)
• LIC-Physician Assistant - State of Michigan (for Physician Assistant)
• CRT-Physician Asst Certified (PA-C) - NCCPA National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (for Physician Assistant)
