About The Position

Corewell Health’s Center for Integrative Medicine provides compassionate care for patients impacted by substance use and alcohol disorders. Through our team of integrated clinicians, we provide empathy, support, treatment and understanding for patients. The practice has an opening for a flexible, caring, and skilled Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) with specific interest in this patient population to join the group. This is an outpatient practice with light call, featuring a collaborative and supportive multidisciplinary team of physicians, APPs, and Social Work. The role involves 60-minute evaluations and 30-minute follow-ups, and it is a part-time position with a two-day work week consisting of 10-hour days, including telemedicine satellite clinic coverage.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree
  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant educational program
  • LIC-Physician Assistant - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required
  • CRT-Physician Asst Certified (PA-C) - NCCPA National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants Upon Hire required
  • CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association 90 Days required OR CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross 90 Days required
  • CRT-Pediatric Adv Life Support (PALS) - AHA American Heart Association 120 Days required
  • CRT-Adv Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - AHA American Heart Association 120 Days required
  • For Nurse Practitioners: Master's Degree
  • For Nurse Practitioners: If education and certification obtained after 2000, must show evidence of completion of a master’s, post-master’s or doctorate from a Nurse Practitioner program that is accredited by the Commission on the Collegiate of Nursing Education or the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission
  • 3 years of relevant experience
  • Current, relevant clinical experience
  • Previous experience functioning in a collaborative role as a Nurse Practitioner
  • LIC-Nurse Practitioner (NP) - State of Michigan
  • CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • CRT-Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
  • CRT-Pediatric Adv Life Support (PALS)

Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate care for patients impacted by substance use and alcohol disorders.
